Tyrese Martin has done nothing but climb during the draft process. Martin started off as a GLeague Camp invite and eventually became one of the seven players from the camp to receive an invite to the actual combine. Martin played really well in the GLeague scrimmages having a double double with 13 points and 14 rebounds in one scrimmage. Martin has potential to be a solid role player who does all the little things. What makes Martin stand out is his physicality. For a senior, he had an advantage athletically and used it to his advantage. He's a strong guy and it will definitely help on the next level. He recognizes mismatches well and is a good post player. His finishing abilities are NBA level. He uses his strength to rebound well. Like I said before, his performance at the GLeague camp showed how strong of a rebounder he is. Martin also is a physical and tough defender. He plays with grit and hustle. Other than that, there isn't a ton of good things to say about him. He can't really shoot. He struggles as a ball-handler and loses control a lot. There are a lot of times on offense where he falls asleep and doesn't cut when he should. Probably spends a lot of time in the GLeague to start.
