Portland needs "that guy" - and Ja clearly needs a change of scenery. His value is at an all time low - which makes him a risky target, but one that could drastically improve this young hopeful blazers team.

Grizzlies get probably one of the better returns they could get in a potential Ja deal. They would get a top 5 protected Blazers first and a first round pick swap - so no unprotected, but two firsts that will definitley convey because the Blazers are not likely a lotery team anyway. Grizzlies get a contract in Jrue that will come off the book in 2027 (big offseason year) and Yang Hansen as a possible project piece, who knows. In addition to this, they also get 2 2nds, which is not nothing.

There are not many Ja deals that make sense - but I could see this definitley happening for a Blazers team that needs a star. I doubt Memphis is getting a better haul elsewhere. Maybe portland gives an unprotected first - but that seems steep for a guy like Ja.
