Why Portland do this:
Portland need high-level front court players who can stretch the floor, score, and play defence (even Collins can help in defence). Having a front court of Grant-Collins-Nurkic should be a huge upgrade on what Portland had in the past.
Why Atlanta do this:
Supposedly they are considering trading Collins for a Top 10 pick to pick Dyson Daniels (if he is still on the board by than) and it makes sense, I think he is a great fit next to Trae long term. They also get Turner who compliments Trae very well.
Why Indiana do this:
They get a rim protector back (not one that stretches the floor like Turner but hey he is a better rebounder at least) along with last year's #21 pick, future first round pick, and a second round pick from this year. Good return for Turner.
Why Detroit do this:
While Grant himself is a positive asset, it is also remember to note that he has one year left in his contract, so his high value is slowly deteriorating and getting a #16 pick out of him would be sensible for him. Bledsoe and Louzada are salary fillers. Bledsoe's contract may seem bad but he has one year left in his contract so it shouldn't be too hard to dump.
Not too sure how the lineups would turn out but I'd imagine something like:
Portland lineup:
Lillard-Simons-Grant-Collins-Nurkic
Atlanta lineup:
Young-Daniels-Hunter-Okongwu-Turner
Indiana lineup:
Haliburton-Brogdon-Duarte-Keegan?-Capela
Detroit lineup:
Cade-Ivey?-Bey-Eason?-Stewart
