New lineups:
76ers: Kyle Lowry – CJ McCollum – Danny Green – Tobias Harris – Joel Embiid
Blazers: Damian Lillard – Norman Powell – Ben Simmons – Robert Covington – Jusuf Nurkic
Raptors: Fred VanVleet – Gary Trent Jr – OG Anunoby – Pascall Siakam – Whoever the Center is.
Lowry is an above-average defender(although not as great as he once was). McCollum before getting injured at the start of the season was #1 in defensive rating among SG’s & averaging 30 ppg. So he and Lowry can potentially be an average defensive duo while providing the playmaking and scoring that Embiid needs.
Blazers might move Nurkic to get a better fit. But this allows Dame and Powell to run more off-ball plays to get easier shots. But it does limit offense at times. Although Ben Simmons’ defense would greatly improve this squad. The Blazers would finally have 3 great defenders in Powell, Simmons, and Covington.
Raptors rebuild and get two first-round picks.
I feel like the Dame or Beal to the 76ers is a bit unrealistic. This might be the more realistic option for the 76ers?
