Here's another variation on two trades I created earlier:
This proposal follows a similar set up:
Rumor: Orlando wants Scoot Henderson on their roster (source: https://www.si.com/nba/magic/news/nba-draft-rumors-orlando-magic-trade-portland-trail-blazers-scoot-henderson). The Trailblazers and Magic agree to partner in creating to a blockbuster trade.
The Trailblazers send the #23 pick to Chicago so they can move other future FRPs.
The Magic send their #6 pick to Washington and the #11 pick to Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, Washington sends the #8 pick to Brooklyn.
The Trailblazers send the #3 pick to the Orlando Magic.
Now, the trade works, but is not as good as option #2. Adding Prozingis to the Trailblazers roster is definitely more expensive than Myles Turner. Alas, the trade proposal improves the Trailblazers' defense, as well as their offense.
Now, if the Magic draft Scoot Henderson with the #3 pick, they will have three point guards. Who do they keep, Henderson, Fultz, or Suggs? The Trailblazers will need a reserve point guard behind Lillard, and I think Suggs would pair well with Sharpe/Thybulle. I did receive a comment on option #2 that the Magic will need more in order to let go of Jalen. So, in this version, I offer Cam Reddish. The Magic need another small forward to pair with Wagner. Reddish could be that player.
What do you all think?
