Giannis’ time in Milwaukee might FINALLY be over, and the Bucks should hope that the Blazers pick up the phone. The Blazers can offer the Bucks something no other team can... their own picks. The Blazers have full control of the Bucks' picks from the Damian Lillard trade, and a rebuild will be useless if the Bucks cannot use their own draft picks. So in this trade, the Bucks get their picks back, another pick, a former top 3 pick in Scoot Henderson, expiring contracts, and Jerami Grant(who they can flip or keep).
For the Blazers, this is the PERFECT time to make a big-time trade, while most of their guys are on smaller contracts. This allows the Blazers to step into contention, especially next year. They would instantly become a top-3 defense, with Deni, Giannis, and Dame leading the offense.
Starting Lineup: Damian Lillard - Toumari Camara - Deni Avdija - Giannis Antetokounmpo - Donovan Clingan
With Jrue Holiday - Caleb Love - Shaedon Sharpe - Gary Trent Jr - Sidy Cissoko - Robert Williams off the bench!
If they wanted all defense: Jrue Holiday - Toumari Camara - Deni Avdija - Giannis - Donvan Clingan would lock any team up
Many may say that Dame and Giannis didn't work, but there were a couple of factors that lead to this:
Doc Rivers stopped running the PNR and made Dame become a catch-and-shoot player. With Tiago Splinter as the coach, not only will these two run much more PNR, but the drive-and-kick offense will allow Giannis and Dame to thrive together, compared to the stagnant iso heavy offense the Bucks ran.
The Blazers have a MUCH better team than the Bucks. Deni, Sharpe, Toumari, Clingan, Jrue, Love, Sidy, RWIII vs Kuzma, Portis, Pat Bev, Pat Connaughton, and Tauren Prince?? No comparison.
Giannis and Dame were just injured during the playoffs. If either one of these guys get injured, the Blazers would still have enough to compete.
