This assumes Blazers value Malik enough to take on his contract. Still will have 6 million freed up in the offseason w/ thybulle/rob gone. Gives blazers a bench spark plug and another much needed shooter. Most importantly, this move frees up two roster spots when the blazers also cut rayan rupert, allowing sidy and love to play past their 42 game limit on a standard contract.

Hornets get another center/expiring contract for a different, less valuable, but slightly cheaper expiring. Maybe they need to throw a second at the blazers?

Kings get off of Malik's contract for expirings.
