I know this looks counter intuitive at first but lets break it down. The blazers and Raptors are at the same point. Mid level teams with a few really nice pieces they can cash in for talent or good picks. The Raptors however have a money problem with GTJ and FVV needing extensions basically forcing them into a sell off for picks. SO here is my plan.
Raptors: Yes you guys have to give up on Saikam and OG but the good news is you get to turn them into a strong SG in Simons and the #3 and #6 picks in a good draft. For your trouble you also get a good young center pair with Scottie Barnes and your two new shiny rookies and you ave a whole starting 5 all on the same timeline.
Magic: I know you guys love WCJ but he is a mid level center (let's be honest with ourselves) and you turn him into OG, the #13 pick and the #23 pick in the draft and 4 future SRP's. Not a bad haul. Plus he is young enough that he can still help you guys finally get good with rest of your recent FRP's.
Blazers: We lose a ton of draft assets, like a ton. Especially considering Chicago is still owed a future first. What we get though is a baller PF. Grant has to slide to his natural 3 spot but he is great from range and isnt a great rebounder anyways. Plus the SG position is open so we get to see more Sharpe!
so new lineup looks like this:
PG: Lillard/Winslow/vet min pickup SG: Sharpe/Thybulle SF: Grant/Reddish/walker/Knox PF: Saikam/Poetl C: Nurk/Eubanks
Look at it and hate it and then after your feelings calm down, will this be enough?
