For the purpose of this trade I made sure of three things:
It met the cap rules for each team and the trade as a whole
Each team received as many players as was sent out to avoid going over the roster limit
Each team received an incentive to make the trade a. The Bulls get younger and more athletic which suits their coach's desired style of play. They would probably want the Lakers' 2029 first round pick. b. The Lakers get the two best players in the deal. Nikolas Vucevic is the ideal center (except for some defensive shortcomings) for the Lakers. With him in tow Anthony Davis moves over to his preferred position of power forward and can mitigate some of Vucevic's defensive shortcomings. Also, Vucevic's style of play fits the slower pace of play seen in the playoffs. Coby White is younger, taller, and has more upside than D'Angelo Russell. Although not a great defender he is already better than Russell and is no worse offensively with more room to grow. At this time in place he is more proven than Hood-Schifino and is very coachable and should even improve under Coach Reddick. Rui Hachimura is no longer needed since AD becomes the starting power forward. c. The Pistons swap a burly defensive player (I. Stewart) for a burly offensive player (R. Hachimura) and the 2025 LAC second round draft pick via LAL or a second round draft pick from Chicago. d. The Nuggets get a good 3 & D forward to back up Aaron Gordon or fill in for him when injured. Zeke Nnaji has more promise now than skill. To make this deal more appealing to the Nuggets the Bulls can/should throw in a second round draft pick.
All in all I think this is a fair trade for all teams involved. As for the draft picks that I threw in they could be altered if necessary. BTW is there any way to actually include the draft picks in the trade machine results?
As you can see, the Lakers get better offensively and defensively. Win win! This improves their chances of qualifying outright for the playoffs and making some noise.
The Bulls get noticeably worse on offense and a little bit better on defense. This helps them lose more games to improve their chances of keeping their 2025 first round draft pick while also enabling them to give their young players needed experience.
Both the Nuggets and Pistons get worse defensively but more than make up for it with an improved offense
