Lavine is a perfect fit with Miami. He is a good enough off-ball scorer to fill the Herro/Duncan role. Plus he is an elite iso scorer at all 3 levels. As for the "Lavine can't play PG" argument. You're right, but Miami runs their offense through Bam and Jimmy, so they don't need a pg. The Bulls get Duncan, a great shooter who can also pass. We get a new big in Stew who is a far better defender than Vuc. And Malik Beasley to make salaries work, (we're probably gonna cut him later). The Pistons get a good scorer and shooter to pair with cade in Herro.
