Cleveland should have traded Allen to begin with (in the Mitchell trade). Here we see them getting things right by swapping Allen and this year’s first for Markkanen.

Utah does this because Jarrett is almost as valuable as Markkanen and they’re getting a free first out of it.

Cleveland makes the move because Jarrett has to go after the latest news (the locker room isn’t happy with him) and because Markkanen is a much better fit along side Mobley.
