This is a big deal for the jazz to get off of Jordan Clarkson's contract. Levert is an expiring deal and Clarkson isnt in their long term plans
Cavs get a guy they are familiar with in Clarkson. For taking the extra year of Clarkson, the Cavs get a developmental rookie center in Kyle. I don't know if he ever gets better than Kelly Olynk but there will always be a spot in this league for big centers that can shoot the 3.
Although LeVert is more versatile than Clarkson. There is something about Clarkson's fit while in Cleveland I cannot describe. He just feels like he fits better with the team even though he shouldn't!
I am willing to take two years of Clarkson's contract myself to flip our second 2nd Rd pick in 2025 for Kyle whom we can start developing right away.
