Give this guy some respect. He has worked his butt off for 18 seasons and my brother be getting hate.
“Russell Westbrick”
Get off of that. Move on.
Look at the MVP seasons in Oklahoma, not the tweets. You are talking about a former MVP. A nine-time All-Star. A member of the 75th Anniversary Team. This man revolutionized what we expect from a point guard.
Because he plays with his heart on his sleeve and leaves everything on the hardwood, people love to build him up just to tear him down. Every player misses shots. Every player has a bad night. But when Russ does it, the internet turns it into a circus.
They clip the bloopers, change his name, and erase a Hall of Fame career over a bad possession. It is lazy basketball analysis. It is exhausting, and it is disrespectful to my man Russ.
He has given 18 years of absolute intensity, durability, and passion to this league. He never ducks a matchup, and he never plays at half-speed.
Appreciate the greatness while he is still on the court, because when he hangs them up, you are going to miss the fire every single night.
