In Second Grade, I was really weird. Being weird I did what a lot of weird people do. But the dumbest thing I did was lick pencils. Yes, your eyes don't deceive you. I went to the Pencil Box where all the pencils were, grabbed one to use, and 10 minutes later lick the hell out of it. I got sick one, and that's it, which is a miracle if you think about that, considering how much lead is in pencils. Sometimes I even grabbed another one for the sole purpose to lick it. The only reason I did it? I thought it tasted good. Yes, I thought pencils, those things with graphite and lead that you use to write with, tasted good. I only licked the middle of the pencil and thankfully not the eraser, because if I did lick either the eraser or tip of the pencil, I would've likely developed a habit of eating those, and would've died. This even continued for part of Third Grade, and the only reason I still don't do it was because of COVID. I learned how stupid it was to lick pencils and stopped.
