Karl-Anthony Towns is set to return for the last 10-15 games for the Timberwolves this season. However, in my opinion, based on this article below, these 10 to 15 games are critical in deciding the fate of the Karl-Anthony Towns era in Minnesota and whether this era should continue:
Reading the above article, if the Timberwolves miss the playoffs, it may be time to switch things up, move forward with Anthony Edwards as the team's sole face of the franchise, and Rudy Gobert as the team's starting center going forward instead of having the same issue that the Pacers had with Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner before the Pacers traded Domantas Sabonis to acquire Tyrese Haliburton. Given these reason, if improvement and a playoff berth (unlike what the Timberwolves did and have showcased last season) doesn't occur at the end of this season for the Timberwolves, it may very well be time for the Timberwolves to move on from Karl-Anthony Towns, based on factual reports.
I realize that this may be unsettling to hear as a Timberwolves fan, but this is the current reality of the situation for the Timberwolves now.

Atlanta eventually needs to start Onyeka Okongwu regardless of Clint Capela's presence on the team, so they trade for the optimal frontcourt partner to pair with Onyeka Okongwu and start Onyeka Okongwu following this trade, should the Timberwolves accept this offer.
However, despite the value and reasons to do this, would you do this as the Timberwolves?
