Short explanation.

Hawks finally move John Collins for a great defender in Mikal Bridges who fits their timeline as well. After this trade I think they move Hunter over to the 4 as he has the size to play there. The 1st is worth giving up as they have another 1st in 2024 that year from the Kings and the Nets will need draft compensation to give up Bridges. They also get Patty Mills who can play some backup guard minutes next year and his veteran leadership and experience would be valuable. With this trade and some other minor offseason moves I can see the Hawks making it back to the ECF next year….

Dame Trade

There’s really no way I see this Blazers team being able to make a move to make them contenders without trading most of their picks and Sharpe so their best option is to rebuild. They start by trading the face of the franchise for the last 10 years, Damian Lillard, to the Pels. In return they get CJ McCollum (for financial reasons) who was popular during his time in Portland and can be the veteran presence on what will be a young Blazers team next year after this trade. They also get lottery pick in last years draft Dyson Daniels, who still has a lot of potential and Jason Hayes, who’s been a bit of a disappointment so far in his career but could improve in a new situation. They of course also get 3 1st round picks and 1 2nd rounder. 2 of the 1sts come from LA meaning that they have a high chance of being in the lottery.
