It was official, the Alaska State Polars were now a D1 college team in the FCS. Coach Chris Allen couldn’t wait for the new 2025 season, but he had some gaps in roster spots to fill. The first thing Coach Allen did was make sure to get a QB. He spotted a guy from Maryland that could be interesting. He was a 2.5 star recruit carried his high school to back-to-back district championships. His name was Grant Moore. After scheduling a meetup with Moore, Allen was prepared to win over Grant, but just in case, he had a back up option.
Terquavius Monroe, 1.5 star recruit was someone close to Coach Allen’s heart. He was from Alaska and was a small shifty qb known for how elusive and speedy he was. Terquavius was prepared to go with the Polars but Allen was still waiting for Moore. The Polars picked up some other players around the edge but also reached into the transfer portal. They had Nahji Logan, a 3 star senior LB practically committed. And with that, Logan was away from the Hoosiers and on to the Polars. Coach Allen was hyped.
Allen sent out a few scouts, one in Texas caught the eye of a safety by the name of Uchenna Watkins. There was more to him than you may think. He was a funny, warm hearted guy with great defensive awareness and who was also big and strong. Allen got Watkins to commit over the phone.
Today, it was the day the schedules were released. Chris Allenn couldn’t wait. He sat on his laptop and opened up his emai from Assistant Coach, Tod Eggemeyer,l that read : “2025 CFB Schedule for the Alaska State Polars”
