Why for Portland: They get to shed Nurkic's salary, and they get 3 first round picks. Sure, no top tier prospects but Caruso/Williams are both good defensive players and who knows there may be still growth and development. For Portland, this is as good as it gets as they avoid a Tyler Heero or Ben Simmons-type commitment that they are unwilling to make, while getting massive draft capital.

Why for the Clippers: -If Harden isn't winning with this superteam, he's not winning with any superteam.

Why for the Bulls: Now here's the interesting one. They're at a crossroads. They could choose rebuild, but they just extended Vucevic. Obviously the question is: What if they could get better? Enter in Damian Lillard. Yes, I know he's said he won't report but 48+ million dollars at stake and a tarnished reputation around the league says he reports to camp and playing alongside DeRozen/Vuce, he'll see that he has the talent to compete for a ring. They also get Norman Powell for some much added shooting. The coaching staff will as always have to try to squeeze defense out of this unit, but if they can play just solid enough on that end of the floor this Chicago team might surprise people.

Why for my 76ers:

Me personally, I feel like Zach Lavine has a lot of untapped potential. I like his ability to spread the floor, I like his ability to attack the rim. I like his on/off ability, and paired with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey I think they have the potential to go far. More importantly, Lavine's actually under contract so we won't have to deal with this 'acquire a top-20 player, only for them to leave' shit again.

Batum, Coffey, Boston JR add some bodies to toy with at the SF/SG position as we try to add shooting and length to a spot that's hurt us for some time now.
