Durant clearly wants out of the mess that is Brooklyn. The Suns need the piece that puts them over the top. This can get it done with a reasonable return.

For Brooklyn, they end the Durant situation before it gets more messy by cashing him in for a long term piece in Mikal Bridges, the restricted free agency rights for Cam Johnson, and two first round picks, giving them three first round picks in next year’s draft. That’s a good starting point for a rebuild.

The Suns instantly become the title favorites for both this year and next year with a core four of Durant-Booker-Paul-Ayton. Looks pretty fantastic if they all stay healthy.
