Pelicans get a two-way rim protecting stretch five perfect for spacing the floor for Dejounte and Zion. They’ve needed a rim protector in the Zion era desperately and they get that and more with Turner who also provides the best of both worlds with the spacing, you couldn’t find a better fit at the center position next to Zion. They also get a nice bench player in Ben Sheppard who in my opinion is pretty underrated and had some good moments this season. The pacers get a pure lockdown small forward, one of the best defenders in the nba, who can help one of the worst defensive teams in the league and guard the other teams best player. They also get a new starting center in 20 year old yves missi who if you’re unfamiliar with his game is a shot blocking big who can run the floor, catch lobs and play at a fast pace. Perfect fit for the pacers playstyle, he’s got good upside as a mobile defensive big in this league and I think haliburton could really unlock him in the pick and role. In retrospect, I would’ve made it so the pelicans give up the pick not the pacers but I’m not sure how to edit that, pelicans would realistically be the team that would have to give up a couple 2nds or so to make this trade happen.

Final rosters:

Pelicans - Dejounte, C.J, Ingram, Zion, Turner. Alvarado, Hawkins, Sheppard, Murphy, Theis. Pacers - Hali, Nembhard, Herb, Siakam, Missi. T.J, Math, Nesmith, Toppin, Jackson/Wisemen.
