Pacers: With the Siakam trade, they have now invested more towards winning now, while still having a younger team. Finney Smith is a player that they'll have retained for multiple seasons on a friendly deal for his production. He brings more defense onto the team, while also providing %40 shooting from 3. Toppin is more expendable now that they got Siakam, and Sheppard won't have a lot of room with the Indy guards taking minutes, so this trade capitalizes on their value to get a perfect wing glue guy on their team. Finney-Smith's main job here would be to guard the opposing team's best players along with Siakam, and it would drastically improve Indy's horrible defense now with 2 Great defenders in Siakam and DFS.

Nets: With their great amount of wings, trading DFS won't hurt too much, especially with how bad they're playing. Getting Toppin, a decent PF who adds more athleticism along with his improvised 3-point shot, would be a plus for them. Sheppard hasn't shown a lot, but he can also be a prospect they can try out, and they also fetch 2 SRPs to add onto the value.
