Realistically speaking I don't think the Nets want Westbrook, so in return, they get a more appealing offer

Hornets do this for getting off 2 bad contracts and getting a huge amount of cap space the next offseason, they would most likely buy out Russ and let him go to his next team. They also get 2 pick waps more favourable to them

Lakers do this because they get Kyrie and Joe Haris, don't have to give up any major players -> only giving up 2 unprotected firsts and 2 pick swaps

Nets don't want to rebuild since they don't have any of their own first so they can 3 really good players and 2 really solid picks
