Sabonis is the son of Blazers legend Arvydas, they'd love to have him there. POR stays competitive with upside. They would need to trade or cut a couple guys to make this work. Likely move Nurkic for a 1st or really tear it down and trade CJ, Cov, Nurk after this. If this is the deal, the Blazers would be saying they'd rather have LeVert Sabonis and another pick than Simmons. Which could be the case because of Simmons' risk factors. Pacers would do this in a heartbeat as would Sixers. Pacers need excitement, they're sitting last in the league in average attendance. Simmons brings that and pace. Brogdon, Simmons, Turner is a really solid core.
