The Pelicans can offer more picks than practically any team in the NBA, but these may not be quality picks. It is likely a Lillard acquisition would boost the Pelicans into championship contention, and Milwaukee will continue to finish near the top of the standings. Therefore, the Blazers’ main interest would come from the 14th pick in this years’ draft and a potential Lakers collapse. I like the addition of Naji Marshall in this trade because he has all but proved himself as a cheap rotation player who can play multiple positions. The Pelicans have loads of assets they need to unload this off-season before it goes to waste. Is this the right direction for New Orleans? Can the Blazers find a Lillard trade package with a higher ceiling? Who says no?
