Houston will still end up with likely a good pick (lesser of Bulls and Nets - aka lottery for sure). Bulls get the most preferred which could just end up being their own and Houston still gets most favorable of Nets and their own. Bulls also get PHX 2027 pick.

So Houston could get away with Giddey on a team deal for an older expiring vet for one mid to late pick in Suns. Obviously Giddey is a big upgrade and much younger and can open up offense for their solid roster

Bulls are betting one of their own or Nets are high quality top 3, with a local expiring vet off surgery who could be a good locker room guy on an expiring deal. Gives Buzelis and Wilson the keys on offense
