Raptors move on from Siakam. It's clear that Siakam and Scottie have not been able to coexist. The Raptors get 2 firsts for Siakam. Hield is in this for salaries to work, but he does space the floor which is what the Raptors need. Toppin is a decent young high energy guy and great rim runner to add another dynamic to the offense.
Pacers bring in an all NBA calibre forward in Siakam. While he hasn't been as good as he was the last 2 seasons, that also could be because he's playing on a ill-fitted roster with no spacing and being asked to play a very unfamiliar role on top of that. Indiana has the perfect roster for Siakam to thrive. They have loads of spacing and a top tier offensive system. He will also help improve them defensively, the Pacers struggle on defense, he will improve it. This move propels them into being a true contender. Pacers will have Siakam's bird rights too
