I don't think Golden State can really make any other moves, but I believe that Golden State could make one big swing to get a rim running interior presence in Nicolas Claxton. He is a horrible free throw shooter, but in terms of the Warriors offense, he would be a great big man like the likes of Andrew Bogut and Javale McGee in their dynasty era. He can protect the interior while catching lobs and crashing the glass on both ends. Kevon Looney was a work horse, but Golden State should make the move to upgrade especially with his athleticism and frame.
Golden State should try to inquire about Christian Wood signing for the vet minimum in order to secure a bigger contract in the future. He is still 27 and can take one more gamble. In my eyes, he is worth 10-15 million even 10+ days into free agency, but the idea that money is not much left in circulation with most franchises, Christian Wood could find Golden State to be a perfect position. He would most likely come off the bench as Claxton would be the starter for his defensive presence. He could be so productive on offense thanks to the addition of Chris Paul in the secondary unit, who would make his game even better. He would co-exist well with Kuminga and Saric and can be a great contract year for him if he signs with Golden State since he would be splitting with Claxton, who could see himself in a lot of foul trouble no matter what team he is a part of. Signing under-the-radar free agents in Trendon Watford, Javonte Green, and Nathan Knight could be beneficial as they can get some minutes here and there through the season and make a great impact for the team since Brandon Podziemski and GP2 along with Kuminga and Saric would be getting a lot of minutes alongside CP3. Will Barton is another veteran that Golden State could try to get on a paycut to help bring a championship to the team. He could see himself in a role similar to Otto Porter Jr. from back in the 2022 championship season with Golden State.
Brooklyn would likely take this trade for some wing assets while still getting a productive center, but more importantly with even more draft assets since they are missing their own due to the James Harden trade.
