The Kings clear their glut of guards and find their PF for now and the future. Barnes is a nice enough player but he’s definitely a glue guy and not a go-to guy. While Harris did have a few clunkers in the Hawks series’ last 2 losses - he was absolutely instrumental in their wins. He’s a much better fit next to Fox than Barnes is. Korkmaz is a heady, gutsy player that seems to have a pretty short leash. I’d like to see what he could do with more PT. Like Hield, Korkmaz shot over half of his FGA from outside and connected at 40% this year.

Barnes had a few down years of shooting after getting the yips in the ‘16 finals. For Dallas, you could just see his handle wasn’t where it needed to be for someone leading the team in FGAs. But he did shoot 50% on corner threes this year and has shot 38% or better the last 5 years. He’s still a good defender and a capable rebounder. Hield’s presence will open lanes for Ben (there’s no way he’s setting 30 mil on fire!) and make defenders stay at home instead of doubling Joel. I would love to see them close with Curry, Hield, Barnes, Simmons, and Embiid. Likely you would replace Curry with Green to keep the defense turned up.
