Sixers: By acquiring 2 expiring contracts that can contribute to a winning team, the Sixers can both compete and target big free agents next offseason. Hield is the great shooter missing next to Embiid (similar to JJ Redick years ago), while Lowry would provide good playmaking, which will be lacking with Harden gone. Lowry is also from Philadelphia and has a great relationship with Nick Nurse. With both Lowry and Nurse in Philly, Kawhi could be attracted next offseason.

Miami: Harden is the elite playmaker they have been missing for years, and PJ Tucker would provide them with the same qualities he provided two years ago: defense and toughness. They do all of this by trading 1/3 of what they were planning to trade for Lillard while getting 80% of what Lillard can do.

Pacers: They get a one-year-younger version of Hield while also receiving a pick swap that can be valuable since they plan to be good in seven years. Robinson also has a higher ceiling and can be flipped when he starts playing well again.
