The Lakers need 2 way players, depth, and toughness. Stewart is a big, strong guy who can approach 40% from 3 at the 4/5. That makes the 2 big lineup possible, and gives them an opportunity to compete with Denver and Minn.
This makes sense for LA, IMO.
