WHY THE ROCKETS DO IT:

Im not sure they do. They love Christian Wood. And on this winning streak he has been exactly what the fanbase was hoping from him. Though. The rumours are out there. And the Rockets would be silly not to listen to any offers out there, especially if they involve young players and/or picks. This has both.

It may be a bit much for Sengun to take on the starting duties already, but Theis could start until Sengun eases into it by the end of the season. PatWill will be out until the end if the season, so wont effect the Rockets ultimate goal of securing another top pick in the next draft, but if he comes back rearing to go, he could be the next big piece to build around. Moody hasnt lived up to his draft stock so far and has seemed to be less of a priority than Kuminga on the Warriors. However he could be exactly what this team needs if he lives up to his defensive potential.

This is a lot of young peices to juggle, and could set the team back a year or two. But if everything clicks, ALONG with a top pick next year. This could be a the start of a dynasty.

WHY THE BULLS DO IT:

Yes, Vucevic is barely a year into his tenure with the Bulls, and so far there have been mixed results. If Chicago were hoping to get All Star Orlando Vucevic they may be left a little underwhelmed. Is Wood the solution? Alone? Maybe not. With Wiggins? Maybe.. with PatWill out, the Bulls could use another defensive anchor to help push them through as the elite in the East. A combo of Lonzo, Lavine, Wiggins and Wood are young enough and should be moving more into their prime (if they arent there right now) to be a threat for the next couple of years.

WHY THE WARRIORS DO IT:

They get the best big man theyve had since.. Bogut? Vuce can anchor the middle while everyone else moves around him. With Kuminga, OPJ and Klay (when healthy) the Warriors can afford to give up a wing to get arguably the best current player involved in this trade. White helps run the bench unit and can still contribute to the youth movement GS have built in already next to Kuminga and Wiseman.
