Thunder - OKC has so many young prospects and picks that they can afford to do trades like this and still have loads of assets left over. This is a large price for Lauri but one that barely makes a dent in their assets. Topic and Dieng weren’t gonna see many mins for the foreseeable future and Lauri is an instant upgrade. He provided great shooting and size to this team. Having SGA, Dort, J Dub, Lauri, and Chet would be an elite defensive and shooting 5 with 4 all star caliber players. The bench would still be elite with Caruso, Ihart, and Wallace plus whatever draft choices they make in future drafts. Wiggins and Joe are losses but won’t make much of a difference in the long run with the amount of picks the Thunder have.

Jazz - This is a great return for Lauri as the Jazz land two prospects and two more solid role players for the future. Wiggins and Joe could be a part of the next competitive Jazz team while Topic and Dieng could be developed. They also land two firsts, one at 15 in this draft that could be a solid player. The OKC selection in 2026 will most likely be very late but it’s still a first rounder.
