The first 1st round pick is compensation for adding Pascal, the second 1st round pick is compensation for the Raptors taking on Julius Randle and the final 1st round pick is for the Raptors taking on Evan Fournier

For the raptors you turn expiring contracts into future assets to build around a young star in Scottie Barnes and hopefully this opens Toronto up to add even more draft picks in future trades.
