Hawks deadline plan

Hawks - The immediate value may not be there, but the long-term implications of this deal are. By moving Murray, Hunter, Capela, and Bogdanovic in exchange for short-term contracts, Atlanta would clear their books and make themselves players for the top free agents in the next couple of offseasons. They'd also get some draft capital to make moves with and a solid big man in Looney.

Heat - As much as this deal would hurt Miami's financial flexibility for the foreseeable future, it would improve the team tremendously. Unlike the proposed Damian Lillard package, Miami wouldn't have to give up any young players in this deal. The only value comes from the picks they're giving up, and even then, they'd still have draft capital to play with afterward. Dejounte Murray would be a huge improvement at point guard and Hunter would provide serviceable two-way play at forward.

Warriors - At this point, no trade's going to change everything for the Warriors. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't at least attempt to improve the roster. CP3 is not a huge factor anymore even when healthy, and Looney is having a down season. Bogdanovic and Capela are both upgrades in their respective roles. The Warriors only give up one draft pick and manage to keep their young core intact while putting a better team around Steph Curry.
