Lowry’s bloated expiring salary helps brings this together, but the intriguing piece from Chicago’s viewpoint here is Jovic. The former first-round pick hasn’t cracked through Miami’s rotation, but he could finally have the chance to be unleashed on a new-look Bulls rotation. DeRozan and Caruso added into the Heat’s system vaults them right alongside the Bucks, Celtics and 76ers as legitimate Finals contenders in the Eastern Conference.

3. New York Knicks trade Evan Fournier, Dylan Windler, Daquan Jeffries, 2024 FRP, 2024 SRP via DET for Demar Derozan.

DeRozan alongside Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, and the rest of their core could push the Knicks forward clearly into a guaranteed top-6 playoff spot. New York’s new starting lineup would bring so much offensive creativity to the table: Brunson. Quentin Grimes, RJ Barrett, DeRozan, Mitchell Robinson. As a postseason push, DeRozan’s arrival is the perfect mix of veteran leadership and on-ball scoring pop for New York to build upon last season’s success.
