This offseason has the most hype in a good bit so we expected some huge news but we finally get our first Trade and it's a big one. I wonder how this offseason continues to spiral after this trade. The Desmond Bane Trade -> Orlando is something I mocked a while back as a part of a 3 teamer where the suns Traded him to the Magic for a couple Firsts and KCP so its very interesting to see the differences in what actually happened to what I thought would happen. Overall it. shows me the Orlando is Aggressive in the southeast which will hurt my Hawks but maybe somewhat desperate. So we finally reached the start of the offseason and now every day we could be seeing a trade so get those notifications on and stay alert since I will be dropping grades for EVERY Major Trade from now on. Memphis: A-

Based off my Trade Grades this is a real close one but I think I can call this a Franchise changing move for Memphis, Simply adding those 4 first round picks gives them so much room to change the future outlook ion the franchise with questions over Ja Morant while changing the makeup of the roster by having pick 16 this year. How could this affect them negatively is having Cole Anthony and KCP locked up for two years for a combined 35m move rate next 2 years really could give them a situation like they had with Washington this postseason where they gave them a first for Marcus Smart, Could this be similar? I really love this for them, a Front Office that makes smart move and develops well and drafts well targeted gaining first round picks + Vet Presence, sounds like a really good trade. now this doesn't Make them better in the short term holding this back but the West is too good now for this team makeup, maybe sitting back for a year could really help them long term outlook. But they really fleeced Orlando here, I thought maybe 2 firsts sounded right to maybe 3 but 5 FIRSTS even if there's a swap is a great haul for them. Big well Done.

Orlando: C-

Orlando is gonna take a tonne of hate for this trade and I think it will be too much, do I think some of the criticism is going to be right? Sure it will be they lost a tonne of firsts with some holes in the roster still but in a weak east they were able to capitalise and get a player that fits the team very well and their roster makeup to where they are gonna be able to compete and be a playoff team if all goes well next year. but they simply removed all the trade options for their team with 4 firsts being gone so i'm interested to seen what they aim at 25 and then also if they target another strong player on the market with what they have left. So this better work or this an all time bust.
