Magic trade Cole Anthony, Jonathan Isaac, Jalen Suggs, Jett Howard and four first round picks fot Donovan Mitchell. I love Orlando's core of Paolo, Franz, WCJ, Fultz and Black, and I think adding a superstar player that's not too much off their timeline, while clearing the guard logjam, would be amazing for this team. Franz is already great, Paolo will get there very soon, Wendell does everything you want a center in today's league to do, Markelle is extremely solid at PG and Black's potential is huge. This team has a ton of versatility on offense and good defenders to hide somebody like Mitchell on defense. They lack a little shooting, but Mitchell gives them a huge boost at that and obviously brings so much more too. (Dean Wade is just salary filler.)

The Cavaliers don't have a confirmation that Spida is staying after the end of his current contract. It's more likely that they'd trade him next offseason, if that's needed, but they would definitely get a better return if he's not an expiring contract at the time of the trade. Here, they get four players that have a ton of potential and would fill holes on their roster. We know that Jalen Suggs has been a bit of a dissapointment thus far in the league, but he still has the potential to be Darius Garland's backcourt running mate for the future. Cole Anthony would be a great sixth-man on that team. Jett Howard further fills the hole at small forward that they've already addressed a bit this season. And Jonathan Isaac could make this team a top defense in the league, by a mile, if only he can stay healthy (I know that's a big "if"). A team consisting of Garland, Suggs, Isaac, Mobley, Allen, and off the bench Anthony, LeVert, Strus, Niang and whoever the backup center would be, is so deep and has a ton of time to compete together because of their age. I am a supporter of trading Allen and putting Mobley at center, but that's a decision the Cavs could make with less pressure without Mitchell's free agency looming.

I want Mitchell to succeed in Cleveland, but this trade just makes too much sense, in my opinion.
