One of the early talking points for Philly is how bad their bench have been. On paper this should work, but with the ball in Harden and Maxeys hands so much, they dont need ball handlers, they need scorers. They also need a decent backup 5 to give Embiid a proper rest, cuz Trez ain't it.

Maybe Barnes is just in a slump. Maybe Murray emerging as his replacement has shaken him a bit. Who knows. All I know is if the Kings want to compete this year then they need to make some changes and Barnes should be on the chopping block. Tobi can do exactly what Barnes can do and do it a LOT better. He does come with a price tag though. If Kings are aiming for that playoff spot, maybe it's the price they have to pay.

It hasn't been pretty. You would think that being in year 3 of a rebuild, they would be better than what they have shown. Don't get be wrong, there have been flashes of brilliance. Jalen Green in particular looking like young Kobe out there (hyperbole I know..), but the structure of the team is a mess. Players don't seem go know their roles properly (may have had something do to with line up changes..) and for as much as I REALLY like him, KPJ can't run the floor by himself. Melton is a perfect dog defender backup guard for this team and is still young enough to be a part of what they're building. Tyty could be the answer, but for right now, for the sake of the young guys and their development. They need structure.
