Dame to the Celtics is the trade not being talked about enough.

Celtics: They have to give up Brown, Brogdon and a first, but they get Dame. He changes their offense entirely. After losing Smart, they have no ball handlers and if you watched their last two playoffs, that was their biggest weakness. Now a starting five of Dame, White, Tatum, KP, Horford/Williams looks like the top team in the East. Dame gets to contend, Celtics shake things up and get better without giving up too much. They get Tate and Green back who are good rotational guys as well.

Rockets: They do this trade if they decide they want to be good now. Their signings and moves this offseason indicate they do. They have to trade Smith but he wasn’t great last year so they might be selling high instead of waiting too long like the Warriors did with Wiseman. Now they have a starting five of Van Vleet, Brooks, Brown, Thompson, and Sengun. Green, Porter, and Whitmore form an exciting second unit. The rockets give up some picks too but ultimately they don’t destroy their core while putting themselves in contention.

Blazers: they get a better haul back than what Miami can give. Smith and Eason are two young players with huge upsides. They get several picks and can realistically move Brogdon at the deadline again for more. They have a young and exciting starting five of Scoot, Simons, Sharpe, Grant, and Smith.
