Bulls: Trading the 27 year old LaVine is the final move for the Bulls rebuild. In this trade they take on two contracts that won’t expire for 2 and 3 years, but they most likely will not be winning until then regardless. The draft capital gained in this transaction is more than worth Zach LaVine, getting two first rounders, another likely top 40 pick, and a last 2nd rounder is great return for the struggling LaVine. Perhaps if he improves his performance they can sell him for even more. Knicks: Knicks finally get a guard who can score at will. This move completes their young core, and creates a promising future for the Knicks. Despite their struggles on the floor, the Knicks have done an amazing job of obtaining draft capital. Because they are never bad enough to get a top 10 pick, they will need to trade that draft capital for a star. Should LaVine become available, he is that star. Brunson, RJ, LaVine, Randle, and Robinson can make a splash with a strong bench. LaVine cannot be traded until later in the season because he recently signed
