Blazers do this as Dame’s value is diminished the more this drama drags on, they have to hope the young players coming in develop well, including Simmons, who I think could thrive at point center alongside grant if kept, relieving him a lot of shooting responsibility, & the pick haul is as good as they could hope for now even losing simons, who may not be that big a loss with Shannon Sharpe looking likely to take his starting spot. Worse case scenario for Portland now is keeping Lillard with Scoot there, which would set them up for years of mediocrity.
