With Demar going to SAC, they have plenty of ball handlers/creators and now need all the defenders and shooters that they can get. They get DFS from the Nets and in return give up their 1st round pick Kevin Carter. They also sign Doug McDermott to provide shooting off the bench.

For the Nets, they keep the rebuild going by adding another young prospect.
