They could sign BI outright, but need to drop the Williams contract to do so.
CHA lineup becomes Ball- Miller- Ingram- Bridges- Williams. Tidjane eventually supplants Bridges. Retain Micic + Green for backcourt depth. Need to replace Richards somehow this summer, either via the draft or free agency. BI becomes Ball's secondary playmaker while going home to North Carolina. Playoff team in the East.
Very low price for BI-- a swap when both teams are good, a Dallas pick in the 20s, and a 2nd. Nick Richards is a draw for the Pels, which helps them stomach the Williams contract. What Pels do with Williams next, who knows. Everyone else is just contract ballast.
Could only see this if BI's market really bottoms out, because meh picks + Richards for BI + the Williams contract is a wild price, but something is better than nothing. At least Richards is underpriced next year?
