If I’m the Raptors… I’m finding a way to back out of the Kawhi deal. I would want nothing to do with it especially if it goes into 2027 like they say it could. And with the new findings about the score board company deal, it is likely the Kawhi-Ingram trade won’t go through and this investigation will go into next year. I would go ahead and back out and flip Ingram and Grady in another trade. I think if they were willing to give up Ingram and multiple frp’s then they’d take Butler’s expiring without picks. Yes it might be a while before Butler can play, but his expiring deal should be very attractive for this raptors organization. The Raptors also get off of Poeltl’s contract and the Warriors could use him either off the bench, alongside Porzingis, or in place of Porzingis in case of injury.
