Denver's thinking here is getting a big who can pass and occasionally hit a corner 3, allowing them to stay schematically consistent when Jokic is off the floor for the 10 to 15 minutes a game he rests. They also get a 2nd for taking on the extra money/year of iHart's deal.

The Magic take a flyer on Reddish (who they have time in the rotation for) and get a 2nd round pick as compensation for Harris. Smith and Jordan both get bought out, are expiring anyway so no harm there really

Knicks get Harris, who replaces McBride in the rotation as he can consistently knock down an open jumper. While he is not the defender Deuce is, he is a few inches bigger and is also not a slouch on that end so in theory we shouldn't lose too much. At worst, Deuce stays in the rotation and he becomes a "break in case of emergency" player like Fournier/Rose currently are but he won't hurt us the way they do. Cost is low enough that it allows the Knicks and Thibs to push for the playoffs without having to sacrifice any young player from our core or upcoming first round picks while adding a "Thibs" style guard/wing on the cheap
