Kings: Mike Conley, Rob Dillingham
Timberwolves: Dennis Schroder, Keon Ellis
Kings:
First round picks nowadays are valuable, I just don’t see any teams give one straight up for Keon Ellis, so Kings have to settle in getting a young player in return. In this trade they pick up Rob Dillingham who could not shine in winning teams like Timberwolves, but a switch of scenario and more freedom to play could unlock his full potential. I still believe that it is a complete mistake for getting Schroder on a 3 year 45M last offseason, they will also be getting rid of that in this trade
Timberwolves:
Timberwolves need another ball handler, feels like they are relying on ANT way too much. Randle cannot lead a squad by himself, which is why they should bring in Schroder who is a true playmaker, and lead the minutes without ANT. Rob Dillingham basically ain’t it for them, to a point Bones Hyland is playing more than him, it's time to move on before everyone forgets his Kentucky days. Keon Ellis elevates their defense, and will be a key role player for the 2nd half of the season. Expect Timberwolves to make a salary shredding trade next offseason as this trade adds more salary to their cap sheet, but that’s for next season, they have to make moves and try to make it 3 WCF in a row
