Pelicans:

Jose Alvarado isn’t in their long term plans. With an extension upcoming, it will be better for them to trade him for second round picks

Rockets:

This trade kills two birds with one stone: more shooting, more ball handling. Both guys are exactly what the Rockets need to improve their offense. Sucks to trade FVV but they have to keep competitive, and feels like they are falling back comparing to others and a trade is needed

Jazz:

Nurkic has been fantastic, but it’s still a season that Jazz have to tank as their pick is on OKC’s hands top 8 protected. By taking in FVV’s 25M next year it gains them a first round pick, sensible move for a selling team

Hawks:

Porzingis cannot be fit, they are short on bigs as Okongwu is the only legit option. Therefore they need Nurkic who will be a huge piece to their team, with his experience and IQ as a C. Spurs have swap right with Hawk’s pick this year so unless they want to help the Spurs even more, Hawks should try their best to win games, and Nurkic will help to do that. Nurk is also on an expiring so that still allow Atlanta to have tons of cap space to work with this offseason
