🚨3 TEAMER🚨 - Knicks + Bulls + Timberwolves (only possible in January though)

FAILED

Ok, so in this scenario, the Bulls, Timeberwolves, and Knicks make a 3-Teamer Trade that’ll help each team out with their wants and needs, with a great return for everybody (side note, it might say failed, but it was a ✅Success when you take the recently signed restriction off).

For the Knicks, they’ve been rumored to be interested in KAT, and I believe that based on his play, they should trade for him now before his contract becomes too big to trade for. So, in this scenario, the Knicks can get KAT (an All-Star, All-NBA Caliber player) with only having to give up Randle, Fournier, and a few first rounders (which they have a TON, so giving up these few and not any beyond 2026 will be GREAT for the Knicks’ future). The Knicks also will get Torrey Craig and Jevon Carter from the Bulls, who are both DAWGS on defense, shoot threes, and will provide New York even more depth for the playoffs. These two are sneaky pieces for any championship contender. Also Craig + Carter’s contracts could be used to flip if the Knicks wanted to. And finally, in this scenario, they don’t give up Barrett, Hart, Robinson, DiVincenzo, Grimes, or Quickley, and they’ll have room to re-sign Quickley, and other free agents that they want to try get.

For the Timberwolves, they’re gonna be in a second apron chokehold coming soon when it comes to building around Ant Edwards. With trading KAT to NY, I sent them back Julius Randle from the Knicks and Alex Caruso from the Bulls, along with a few first rounders. I believe getting Caruso + Randle will not only help the Wolves’ financial flexibility, but also keep them in playoff/championship contention for the future. Caruso and Randle are both hustlers who will thrive on defense and rebounding with the occasional scoring. And, in this case, the Wolves will get back some draft equity to help them with building their team, or for future trades down the line.

For the Bulls, this deal is basically for draft equity and salary dump for Fournier. Torrey Craig and Jevon Carter were brought in to help the Bulls reach the playoffs, but it’s clear the Bulls won’t reach it. So in this case, you send Craig + Carter to the Knicks, where they can properly contend and play well. Caruso leaves as well, but you get THREE first round picks for him, which is more than I’d imagine the Bulls could get for LaVine + DeRozan. So you get value for Caruso not through players, but quality draft equity, which the Detroit first-rounder protected could be SNEAKILY VERY VALUABLE. And also, Evan Fournier will get a chance to shoot all the shots in a Chicago team that desperately needs to break down and rebuild.

All-in-all, I think this 3 Teamer could lead to results that make the Knicks, Bulls, and Timberwolves happy, and where they need to be.
