The reports have recently been that DeMar is in talks to go to the Kings via Sign + Trade. Here’s a trade idea that I think could work for each team.

The Bulls have wanted Kevin Huerter in any trade for their players, and they get him, as well as a protected 2027 first rounder in return for the all-star in DeMar. It doesn’t seem like an overpay as DeMar is still really good, and the Kings should be decent in 2027.

It’s been told what’s holding up the DeMar to the Kings trade is that the Bulls don’t want to take in extra salary compared to what DeMar would sign. So…Portland becomes the third team to help facilitate by taking in Harrison Barnes’ $18 million, and give Sacramento Matisse Thybulle, who is kind of the odd man out in Portland’s current guard line-up. He comes to Sacramento and provides some guard/forward depth behind Fox, DeMar, Monk, Keegan, and Devin Carter.

And then the prize, DeMar returns home to California. Although not as near to Compton, DeMar comes and becomes the…

Lauri Markkanen goes to OKC, being absorbed into the cap space of OKC. OKC can then extend Markannen into the cap space to help put the finishing touches on OKC’s front court.

In return, OKC trades 7 first rounders and 1 second round pick that includes picks from the Clippers, Nuggets, and Thunder. Those picks could be VERY valuable down the line and this would indicate that OKC has their core to build around without adding any more young players. Ousmane Dieng is added to give Utah back a player. What do you think?…

Could do a longer message about this scenario, but essentially, after the Bridges trade, the Knicks are hard capped at the first apron because they’re taking in more money. To help get them out of the hard cap, the Wizards jump in and throw in Johnny Davis as part of the Bridges deal to help the Knicks get out of the hard cap for the 1st apron to become a 2nd apron team, which could allow them to re-sign Isaiah Hartenstein. Knicks would also throw in Diakite as another minimum guy to give Brooklyn. Both Diakite and Johnny Davis will help a ranking Brooklyn team tank harder.

In return, the Wizards get Mitchell Robinson, who they had garnered interest in this summer. Robinson goes to Washington to become their Center/Backup Center to anchor their defense with Alex Sarr.

And with these trades, the Knicks can trade for Bridges without being hard capped at the first apron, re-sign OG to the contract that he just got (minus the 5th year because Fanspo isn’t recognizing the 5th year), and r…

Knicks get Kuzma from the Wizards and sign back OG and I-Hart to bigger numbers. The idea is that Kuzma is another Big wing that you can utilize for scoring and I believe Thibs could help mold Kuzma back into a defensive player as well. And then money-wise, Kuzma’s contract is descending, so in this scenario, it will not hurt the Knicks and put them in the 2nd Apron if they decide to keep him past next season. And then if it doesn’t work out, they can trade him away for something else. To help keep the Knicks out of the 2nd Apron, I also waived DaQuan and signed Andre Drummond to a vet minimum to help with the Big Man Depth.

For Washington’s return, they’d be getting back Mitch and Bojan, who are both solid veterans who can help the Wizards either with their re-build or for a future trade piece down the line. Mitch is a younger center who can help anchor their defense while Bojan can provide some spacing and shooting. Draft capital wise, you’d give up 2 First Round Picks (Detroit’s 20…

Here’s an idea of one (OF MANY) dream scenario for the Knicks this offseason:

Re-signing OG + Isaiah: Essentially you max out both of them, but OG takes a small pay cut to remain a member of the Knicks. Dream scenario would probably be about $35-40 million a year for OG, but for this exercise we’ll give him the most.

DeMar DeRozan goes to the Knicks as the 6th Man Scorer/Closer in a sign-and-trade for Bojan Bogdanovic and 2 First Round Picks. Obviously, this is only happening if the Bulls decide to hit the re-build button, and DeMar would be the perfect guy to go get. He fills the need of a scorer and playmaker, and I believe could adjust to a role where he comes off the bench to be the primary scoring option and can close games in scenarios. Defensively, there’s questions for sure about how he would defend, but he’d be surrounded with enough defenders to have all the space. Also, he’d be an upgrade from Bojan because he’s proven throughout his career to be fairly durable as far as i…

Honestly, this might be slightly unrealistic, but if you can imagine that the 2031 1st round pick would go to Boston, I think Boston would listen.

Idk though, it’d be a lot of loopholes, but could be an idea for the Suns to explore with the 2nd apron tax restrictions….

In this scenario, the Knicks become the Caruso destination, who I believe fits the Knicks defensive culture + gives them some shooting and playmaking that’ll help relieve pressure in non-Brunson minutes. Lonzo is essentially salary-filler. But if he ever becomes healthy, he could be another reliable PG who plays great defense, playmaking, and before he got injured, reliable 3-point shooting. And if he’s injured for the whole year, it gives the Knicks an expiring salary to use in a trade or help create cap space in the next off-season. So depth-wise, here’s what it looks like for the Knicks:

PG: Brunson, McBride, Ball SG: DiVincenzo, Caruso SF: Anunoby, Hart PF: Randle, Achiuwa C: Hartenstein, Achiuwa, Sims

For the Bulls, this trade gets you back multiple firsts for Caruso, and a sneakily good 2025 Brooklyn second-round pick that could become pretty valuable. But player-wise, you get back a proven, veteran shooter in Bogdanovic, and a slightly younger defensive monster in Mitch to pai…

Spida goes back home to NY, Pelicans get a more reliable Center + PG, and Cleveland gets back some first round picks from NY, as well as some players that should fit Evan Mobley a bit more (or a gap year to help them figure out how to build around Mobley).

For the Knicks, this trade brings another star guard in Donovan Mitchell to pair alongside Brunson + Randle. I know there’s reasonable concern about the small guard pairing of Brunson + Mitchell. But Brunson I believe is much better off ball then Garland, and could really benefit from having a star guard that has good ball handling for a SG like Spida. Unfortunately, you’d have to trade Mitchell Robinson + Bogdanovic to help the contracts work, but it also helps create reason for New York to re-sign OG, I-Hart, and Precious. So in this scenario, the Depth Chart for New York Knicks would look like:

PG: Brunson, McBride SG: Mitchell, DiVincenzo SF: Anunoby, Hart PF: Randle, Achiuwa C: Hartenstein, Achiuwa, Sims

For New Orleans, this…

This is a crazy scenario that probably won’t happen, but it would definitely benefit each team greatly.

Hawks hit the Re-Build button and send Trae to a situation in San Antonio where he can thrive next to Wemby. For San Antonio, it helps their offense grow around Wemby, without having too much pressure to make a playoff push in the next season. It also there to be some breathing room to figure out some of their younger core (Vassell, Sochan, Tre Jones, etc.). For the Hawks, this move them a fresh start for a team that needed a reboot anyway, since Dejounte + Trae weren’t playing well together. So instead of building around one of them, Atlanta trades Trae to get their picks back unprotected, and safely not have to worry about being bad for a couple seasons while they re-build with some high draft picks. Salary-wise, you do lose some depth with Keldon and Malaki as Trae can be taken in with some of the cap space that San Antonio will have. But, can you find some reliable depth with s…

Trae Young goes to a young, on the come up defensive team in Orlando, who’s personnel can really hide a lot of Trae’s defensive liabilities well. And on the other end, Trae can provide the much needed offense, and could help set up Paolo and Franz with easier shots.

In return, Atlanta gets some picks back for Trae and reset the team around Dejounte rather than Trae. Markelle could come in off the bench for Dejounte, as they both do similar things and need the ball to be dominant. However, if you bring Markelle off the bench, it doesn’t hinder you if he gets injured. Gary Harris would provide Dejounte with a reliable shooter who can thrive in a fast-paced system. The real young piece coming back in this trade for Atlanta though, would be Jett Howard. While he hasn’t gotten a whole lot of proper playing time, Jett is a high lottery pick from this last year, and Atlanta could be a place for him to develop and showcase his offensive talents next to a defensive guard in Dejounte. So in add…

Trade Deadline is coming up, and while the Bulls and Hawks have been rumored to be big sellers and the Knicks to be a buyer, I don’t know if I’ve heard any buzz regarding Demar DeRozan. He sneakily has been going under the radar this trade deadline, and the Bulls haven’t landed on extension talks with him…

So, in this scenario, the Knicks trade for DeMar to be that extra scoring/shot creating punch whether it be on the bench or in Crunch Time, Demar would be a perfect guy for the Knicks, because he can create his own shot, whilst being an underrated passer. His defense isn’t quite what Tom Thibodeau typically looks for, but I believe with buy-in, he could help out.

For the Hawks, they get a more versatile center in Vucevic, and a young, defensive minded guard in Grimes. Gives Atlanta some different options around Trae and gives Vucevic + Grimes an opportunity to play alongside a Point Guard who will always set them up well.

For the Bulls, this trade is meant for getting off contrac…

Just an idea, but the Suns have had interest in KJ Martin, and although he’s hurt atm, DeAnthony Melton could be a piece that the Sixers try to move at the deadline. He can come off the bench and help playmake and bring defense at the guard position. KJ is a slashing wing that should bring some more versatility to the offense for the Suns.

Trade wise, Nassir is the contract filler, but gives Philly some wing depth, and EG, who is another shooter. I’d hate giving up EG in this scenario, but I believe he hasn’t had the best games in PHX and could maybe benefit from a different system. Maybe we could supplement him for another vet minimum, but EG would probably be the piece to get a deal like this over the line.

Idk though, Suns fans, what do you think?…

In this trade scenario, Knicks would give up Grimes and Fournier, but essentially, you’d be upgrading Grimes for Caruso, who can knock down the 3 and play great defense. Also gives the Knicks a little more ball handling for the 2nd unit behind Brunson. And then Patrick Williams is thrown in here, because as good as he’s been recently playing, I don’t know if the Bulls are wanting to pay him the money he wants. So Knicks would get a rental in this scenario, and have a backup PF behind Randle. And then as far as picks go, this is where I believe the Knicks can snag Caruso away from the Bulls. 4 First Round Picks to the Bulls, but the only valuable pick you’d give up is the 2025 unprotected and 2027 protected. This offer still gives the Knicks enough draft capital to trade for “the star” later down the line, but still give you a significant upgrade for your bench.

Knicks fans, what do you think? I don’t believe Caruso is actively on the market, but if the Bulls were given this offer, ma…

Utah gets an expiring contract, and another shooting guard in Fournier, and the Knicks get a stretch 5 who could also play make a little bit. Another plus is Kelly could probably play next to Hartenstein/Robinson/Achiuwa, as his skillset doesn’t alter what they do. Makes the Knicks bigger, without giving up anything significant other than a 2025 first round pick that’ll most likely convey. Utah gets another 2025 pick that’s projected to be a great draft class.

Knicks fans, what do you think?…

Essentially you swap Nassir for Obi Toppin. Obi gives the Suns athleticism, quickness, shooting for the bench. And then Nassir can give the Pacers a backup SF/PF behind Siakim, and will give him some burn on a young Pacers team. Plus, I believe he might be gettable, because the Pacers traded 2 second round picks to get him last year from the Knicks, so I believe if we throw the 2026 second round pick in there, the Suns could bring this offer to the Pacers and have a good chance to get him.

What do you think? Would Obi Toppin bring some answers for a Suns Bench that needs offense and size?…

Houston gets a backup big in Daniel Gafford who can give them another offensive option and some blocks. Jock Landale goes to Washington and his non-guaranteed contract should give the Wizards front office some great options for moving forward. Not sure if Washington will want a first round pick for Gafford, but giving them the Warriors 2024 2nd Round Pick could end up being a value pick due to how the Warriors have been playing this season. However, if they ask for a 1st instead of a 2nd, I’d send Washington the 2024 Brooklyn Pick, but with a Top-5 Protection.

Rockets fans, what do you think?…

Based on the recent reports that the Suns are looking for an athletic wing (and according to FlexFromJersey, Suns are currently looking at a wing from the Eastern Conference) here’s my guess at what that Package could be.

Suns get Saddiq Bey and AJ Griffin from Atlanta, who bring shooting and athleticism. Saddiq is more of the shooting side of things, with a small underrated dose of athleticism, while AJ is more athletic, but can make defenses pay a bit with his shot making. With Atlanta currently expected to go into a fire-sale, Suns could easily give the Hawks a couple players to give Trae Young and co. a fresh wave of new players to try and build around him.

For Atlanta, Nassir Little and Yuta bring length and shooting to a team that can use a fresh set of “wings.” Yuta’s numbers are down atm, but could benefit from the playmaking of Trae Young, and Nassir Little could bring athleticism and quickness to give Trae another P&R partner. 2 second round picks are given to Atlanta as dr…

Freeing Bones and letting him get playing time, and as a Raptor, Bones could become the 6th man that can back up/grow with the core of IQ, Scottie, and RJ. Clippers don’t even play Bones, so in this, they get Charles Barkley’s favorite player (IYKYK) in Garrett Temple as a veteran depth piece and get back some draft capital via 2nd round picks to use in the draft or for another deal down the line.

Idk, might not happen, but the idea is interesting. Raptors get young offense in Bones, and Clippers get back draft capital for Bones (and they traded 2 second-round picks for him last year).

Raptors/Clippers fans what you think?…

Another possible trade that could be in the works based on what’s been reported. Instead of including Jarace Walker, Obi Toppin is the young piece that the Raptors get, and ironically, reunites the New York Boys with Toppin, Quickley, and Barrett being Raptors. And then Bruce Brown is the Salary Filler with Nwora being a depth piece coming to Toronto….

Pascal Siakam goes to the Pacers, and Jarace Walker is the young trade piece going to Toronto. Bruce Brown is the main salary filler, with Nwora being thrown in there as another young player for the Raptors to build around. Walker and Nwora barely play and will probably get a lot of opportunity on the Raptors if that’s what the deal is shaping up to be.

Pacers/Raptors fans, how you feeling?…
