In this trade scenario, Knicks would give up Grimes and Fournier, but essentially, you’d be upgrading Grimes for Caruso, who can knock down the 3 and play great defense. Also gives the Knicks a little more ball handling for the 2nd unit behind Brunson. And then Patrick Williams is thrown in here, because as good as he’s been recently playing, I don’t know if the Bulls are wanting to pay him the money he wants. So Knicks would get a rental in this scenario, and have a backup PF behind Randle. And then as far as picks go, this is where I believe the Knicks can snag Caruso away from the Bulls. 4 First Round Picks to the Bulls, but the only valuable pick you’d give up is the 2025 unprotected and 2027 protected. This offer still gives the Knicks enough draft capital to trade for “the star” later down the line, but still give you a significant upgrade for your bench.
